Cypress was prized by Egyptian beauticians for its precious preservative properties and they devoted this oil to their Pharaohs.
This oil is distilled from the leaves and twigs of the evergreen Cupressus sempervirens, a tall perennial tree common to the Mediterranean region. The clarifying scent of Cypress calms and grounds and is a Middle to Base Note.

Application
DEODORISING - Drying, balsamic Cypress checks 'wet feet' and foot odour. Use Cypress in a FOOT BATH for a soothing and medicinal experience; use frequently to have a lasting effect. Its dry, woody aroma makes a marvellous deodorant and aftershave.
DRYING ASTRINGENT - Cypress assists in the maintenance of peripheral circulation. This action nourishes the veins and arteries in the extremities, therefore relieving aching limbs. For relief of tired legs or to assist in the treatment of fluid retention and swollen ankles; massage extremities with gentle upward strokes towards the heart using a MASSAGE OIL BLEND or relax in a THERAPEUTIC BATH. If fluid retention persists, seek medical advice. Use as an invaluable SKIN or FACIAL OIL for mature skin. A Cypress FACIAL OIL or STEAM INHALATION tightens enlarged pores, protects capillaries and refines oily, spongy complexions.
COMFORTING - For temporary relief of discomfort of haemorrhoids use a MASSAGE OIL BLEND of 10 drops Cypress to 10ml Sunspirit Hypericum oil and apply directly to the affected area. If symptoms persist, consult a medical practitioner.
